Designed by Dalton Maag with Nokia, Pure made the podium in the Armenian, Cyrillic and Greek categories of this year’s Granshan competition. The typeface also supports Latin, Georgian, Ethiopic, Arabic, Hebrew, Thai, Khmer, Devanagari, Bengali, Tamil, Sinhala, Kannada and Chinese, with even more scripts to follow.

Designed by Francesca Bolognini, Nokia Pure’s Armenian component took first place in that category.

It’s been exactly four months that the three-year collaboration between Nina Stössinger and Hrant Papazian saw the light of day thanks to FontFont. Nina’s Ernestine typeface (which features an Armenian component nicknamed Vem, designed by Hrant) has been fortunate to garner critical acclaim for its singular style and exceptional onscreen performance. And now that the numbers are in for the first quarter of 2012, we’re happy to report that Ernestine’s sales are quite encouraging as well!

In a further show of design bravado Nina has additionally launched a site dedicated to Ernestine.

Miguel has since been recruited by Adobe’s type department and served as Chairman of the Jury for Granshan 2009.
